Garmin Alpha 100 Not Communicating With Collars??

Recommended Posts

My Alpha 100 is about 6 yrs old. Last week it stopped communicating with both collars. The software is up to date and battery is charged. I can see it is tracking satellites and when I get close to the collars it says near but it is not tracking either collar and there is no stimulation. Any ideas on how to correct? TIA.

I've had similar issues in the past. I've had some success with power cycling the collars. If that doesn't work then deleting the collars from the alphas dog list and a then adding a new dog has worked for me in the past.

Thanks. I removed old names and linked the collars again to the hand held and that solved the problem. I remember now I had done that in the past but my ole brain is getting forgetful. You were a big help Travis.

Glad it worked for you. I seem to have to do that a couple times a season. My alpha is probably about the same vintage as yours.

Have you updated the collars via connection in addition to updating thr Alpha ?

Removing and reinitializing the collars probably isnt a bad idea in any case.
