I posted about my recent trip to the Bighorn River. Here are a couple photos from the trip...

Nice trout and it looks like a good day to be on the river, weather wise!

Dry fly (a few black caddis and tan caddis) but mostly dry fly with a dropper. We were hoping for good surface activity, but saw very little. I have done well with dry PMDs, 'hoppers and caddis on past trips, earlier in the year.

Is that a grass rod you're swinging that line with?

Yes, it's a cane rod. I brought two with me... a 8' 3" 5 weight and a 8' 9" 6 weight. The one in the picture is the 6 weight, I think.

Thunder Bay

One of my favorite MT rivers and beautiful, healthy trout.  Life is good!

That's a beautiful Brown.

I fished there many times when I lived in WY. Stayed at Cottonwood Camp.

When Larry ran it, or when Alvin ran it, or when Thor ran it, or more recently?  Spent a lot of time there  "in the day", in many seasons.
