bkelble
The vet called today and Annie does not have cancer. It is a melasomthing tumor, but not cancerous. He told us to see a specialist anyhow to see if it needs removed because there is a chance it will grow down into the eyeball and cause pain. It can be cut off with a lazer. Allison will make the appointment tomorrow.
bkelble
Oh yeah, We grilled some of the tenderloin from the deer today. It was beyond good. I marinated it in olive oil with salt, pepper, garlic and a bit of cracked red pep. Then I grilled it over a applewood fire. That with some home grown taters and green onions with some crusty bread has me thinking about sleep.
Roost em 1st
Life be good again, that which made it poor has enriched it as well. Just use a firearm for the next deer....
ckfowler180
Great to hear about Annie! Did you get to go for a long walk with a gun? Walked the legs off your uncle this weekend, he judged over 40 runs between Pointing and Flushing! Got to meet Mary and now know that Jerry's wife must have been a very special woman as Mary is bright, kind, and attractive, none of which she would have inherited from him! bkelble
Colin, There are many good qualities hidden deep within our family gene pool. They do not come out often, but when they do... But yes, my Aunt was one of a kind. Did you run Scout in the trial?
ckfowler180
Ran in the morning but not the afternoon. Probably the best run in the A field but only two birds in the B field so no ceremony for us. We were running late with the morning runs so one less dog and my full attention on planting was a good call. You could see muzzle blast on the last run as light was starting to fade. She just needs the two runs in Dec to qualify for the UFTA Nationals so we are good though it would be nice to pick up the last 4 points for her 2nd CH. Will be tough with the competition and she isn't getting any younger either. Coming up this way over either holiday?
