stupid is as stupid does..

those guys running out and buying all the ammo and 'black' guns they can might have it right after all.

that many folks out of work.. no way will they be able to bail out the mortage folks. so the big 3 and all the related folks in small town nowhere that supply pieces and parts will be unemployed.. bank will go farer down the crapper then they are now.

going to be rough ride...  '29 will look good before this is over.

if you got cash in the bank get it now while they still have it not that it will be worth much.

It isn't over yet.  Maybe now, over the week end, the grand standing and BS can be put aside.  The sky isn't falling.  The mass sell off predicted didn't happen even before there was talk from the administration regarding possible use of TARP funds.

I still think Ch 11 is the only reasonable solution.  A good BK judge could slap all parties back in line.  Is it going to hurt?  You bet it will but that is just the way it is.  It isn't the tax payer's responsibility or fault.  The parties in the industry are the ones who killed the goose that layed the golden egg.

This is just one of many shoes to drop, the next looks like the State of California.  The federal government simply isn't big enough to fix this.
