UJ Member Groups

There are two Member Groups on Upland Journal. The 2024 Contributing Member Group and the Member Group. 

 

The 2024 CONTRIBUTING MEMBER GROUP consists of Members who have Voluntarily Subscribed yearly to help keep the board online. This Group has extra privileges; the main perk being the ability to Upload Photo Images without needing to use a third party photo host website. This Board has advanced Uploading capabilities and Contributing Members can browse and place, or drag and drop, multiple photos to post in Replies...from their computers, tablets and smart phones. All these Uploaded Photos have GPS/meta tags stripped, so hunting locations are safe and not Hotspotted.

 
Contributing Members have storage space for their uploads, and I have enabled an auto resizing function so large photos will load to at a web friendly size. Contributing Members can manage/prune their uploads to stay within storage limit. This Group has other Forum access privileges and advanced storage and capabilities across the Board

 

The MEMBER GROUP enjoys most all Board Member functionality, with the exception of the Photo Upload Feature and other Privileges associated with the Contributing Member Group. This Member Group like all Groups can attach Photo and Video URL's, etc from photohost sites and use the Board Personal Messaging System. Of note....to help decide whether to support the UJ Discussion Community; Upland Journal is not Facebook, with a multimillionaire owner, a stable of programmers and warehouses full of servers, but is a privately owned and maintained and moderated Discussion Forum that pays monthly for Hosting, Server, Bandwidth, email, and data storage.

 

How to become a Contributing Member:

 

A minimum voluntary subscription of $30 or above places a Member in the Contributing Member Group with enhanced privileges for 1 year. (Support amounts above the minimum are ultimately determined by the individual Member and the value they place on UJ.)

 

Once Registered and Authorized and signed-in, if a Member wishes to be added to the Contributing Member Group with extra Privileges information can be found on the Member Groups/Subscription/Extra Privileges Forum.
